Thought I'd mention this because it worked for me and I'm sure others have been in the same boat. In setting up my AWS this year, I discovered that I didn't have a long enough piece of the 1/4" tubing because I've relocated my boxes. I really wanted to get things set up since my tomatoes and peppers are getting bigger, but I didn't want to wait for the straight connector to ship and Lord knows trying to find parts to fit this tubing in a big box store is foolhardy.
So I used a spare T-connector and some waterproof, drinking water approved epoxy putty. I plugged the stem on the T and let it cure, and it's held up for a couple of weeks now without leaking. I'll purchase the connector the next time I order from Earthbox...just couldn't see paying shipping for a $1 connector!
