AWS not level with hose connection...
« on: June 16, 2021, 02:45:42 pm »
If someone has posted on this previously, I apologize. I have two Root & Veg. boxes on deck, three EB Juniors on deck railing. The hose is down on ground. Last year we could not use one AWS for all boxes, by the time the Root & veg. boxes were filled enough, the Juniors would leak.  Sooo... this year I have two separate systems to try.  One for R & V, another for the Juniors on railing.
My Question -- does the AWS work ok with this disparity of height (Railing higher than hose on ground) would there be any issue?

thanks for any help!

As long as you have a back flow device I don't see why it shouldn't work
Why Google, when you have me?

Thank you for the reply, we'll check into a backflow preventer.

I have root & veg. separate now, that AWS doing fine. Now have a separate AWS for junior earthboxes. The company has said the standard AWS can be used for Jr. boxes, as long as we use the standard fill tube instead of Jr. size.  BUT they are still leaking, the device doesn't shut off when the little jr. is full. Any suggestions anyone?

Arrrgggg!!
