Earthboxes inside a greenhouse
« on: October 01, 2018, 03:10:54 pm »
I am an experienced Earthbox user who owns ten of them. I have recently relocated to the Colorado Springs area, which is subject to hail storms every year. I am having a greenhouse built to avoid destruction to future vegs and flowers. We also get intense sunshine about 300 days per year. I expect to use open roof vents and shade cloth to control the heat.  Are there any special tips to using Earthboxes inside a greenhouse?

We built a greenhouse two years ago and it has a roof vent and a side vent.  Even with the roof and side vents and shade cloth it gets really hot.  We installed a fan with a thermostat for those hot, hot days.  I'm on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in the summer there is no planting in it because temps are in 100's.  Our winters usually aren't super cold and the temps get warm in the greengouse, so the fan helps.
