I was looking out my kitchen door window last night--that's where I still have my original Earthbox with strawberries. I saw something moving close to the box--which is set on my cement sidewalk. There was a huge slug heading towards my Earthbox. I went out with a broom and swept it away. I have seen them earlier in the summer on the sidewalk. Do they get into the box via the water outlet or just climb up the sides of the box. I haven't had a lot of leaf damage--earlier in the summer I did--aphids were the cause then. I actually never saw any on the greens of the plant. I might scream if I looked. They are creepy. Anyone have any similar experiences and cures for this problem? Thanks!
