Root and Veg EB
« on: May 19, 2018, 10:47:02 am »
Hello all

It's been a while since I've signed in, busy raising grand babies, moving, changing job...life!

I'm glad to see some of the old "faces".  Had to give away my 14 EBs no space in the new place but I now own 4 veg and root boxes and I wanted to know what were your results in these boxes.  I really can't believe it will grow 6 peppers, has anyone every done that?  Do anyone have pics of their R/V EBs before I try to put 6 peppers in one box.

Your input would be helpful.

Thank you all.

Well I have done Zucchini and Brussels sprout. I just want to let you know you need water more often then the reg EB.  They work but for pepper I would do 4 plants that me.

When I bought the root and veg, it was to grow carrots.  That didn't work.  I find that the water doesn't wick as it does in the regular earthboxes.  Last fall I put 1 broccoli plant in the root and veg and that was plenty enough for the pot.  I had to do a lot of top watering to make sure the plant would survive.  I have decided to not use them for veggies and have put rosebushes in them.
