Planting beet seeds
« on: February 12, 2018, 01:21:20 pm »
I'm new to Earthbox but have been gardening for a few years.  I want to plant beet seeds this Spring.  The conventional method is to sow the seeds in rows and to eventually thin the seedlings to the desired distances.  How do I do this in an Earthbox? Do I sow the seeds under the mulch cover and then cut holes for the seedlings that I will eventually keep, or do I sow the seeds in an uncovered Earthbox and place the mulch cover over the seedlings? I do not have the space or facilities to start the seeds indoors. Any advice would be very welcome.  Thanks in advance.

Cut holes in the cover and direct seed. You should be able to get a couple rows planted
Why Google, when you have me?
