Melons

You can grow melons in earthboxes! Have always grown tomatoes but decided to try something different this year. Watermelons, cantaloupes and honeydew melons. I got a little bit of a late start and sowed them directly in the box. They have done well. 🍉

Well they grew great but didn't really pollinate that well. Most of the watermelons stopped growing for some reason and weren't very good inside. Only had one good one from four plants so not very successful. I'm guessing the pressure on the plant from growing vertically was not good for them. Have several cantaloupes and honeydew melons still growing so we'll see how they do.
