I have been growing the same cukes for years. Diva, Sweet Success, Alibi, and Burpees Burpless. This year, I skipped the Burpless and went with Sir Crunch a lot......which is supposed to be a mega producer right up until frost. Well, I can already attest to mega producing, nice crunchy cuke with small seeds. Fondly nick named Sir Grows a lot, it keeps trying to spread over two staking systems.

Please provide us with pictures of the planting as well as pics of the fruit itself...maybe in your hand or layed next to a ruler for sizing comparisons.

As requested here is a pic, please note the Sir Crunch A Lots are the first couple cukes on the left next to the apple. The middle are Sweet Success and the ones on the right are Alibi (little big, but they were hiding for a day or two.)

Thank you for the pics.  Clarification needed....only the 2 next to the iPhone are the Sir Crunchs and the smaller four cucs on the far right are the Alibis, then the middle group are the Sweet Success?
Im looking for smaller varieties thats why I asked.

First 5 from the left are all Sir Crunchs   I am liking this cuke, now need to stop eating them to see how well they hold in the fridge.  Like I said I have grown the same cukes for quite a few years....but I am pretty sure Sir Crunch will be on my permanent list. Diva is a bit behind, once she gets going I will do some taste tests.  I love Alibi for a pickle, you can pick them from gherkin size to a large pickle, and they are always great, and very prolific.

Would you say this was a slicer more than a pickler? Looks good, just wish it had PM resistance, too. I think that is the only reason my Little Leaf cukes havent succumbed to Georgia July yet.

I'm trying those for the first time this year. Do you like them? anything of note to report? Im also doing Diva, Eureka, County Fair, Summer Dance, and Summer Top. All have superior disease resistance (according to the catalogs Wink ).

Yes, Sir Crunch is more a slicer not a pickler....I have all the pickle type cucumbers I can handle since I grow four or five alibis. I don't have to worry about the powdery mildew, I have a spray program that includes Funginol.

Mickie, I really like them so far. Great pickler and not bad as a slicer when they get huge (but I'm not terribly picky about seeds). I planted too many in the same box, so they're a bit unruly, but I can still easily spot the cukes because they're such a vibrant color. Haven't really had any pest or disease issues, despite it being so warm and wet this summer. Everything else in the garden looks pretty spent at this point, but not the cukes.
