I have searched the forum every way I can think of, but can't find much about yellow squash in the EBs. I have tried it several times. The plant gets big and starts growing over the side of the box, lots of young squash on it, then wind will come along and twist it around and break it off. Or, it will reach the slab and get in the way. Also, the squash borers get into it very early, and powderymildew is a problem. I've tried Seven on the crowns and other remedies, but here on the Georgia coast, it gets very hot and humid, which is an issue. I used to have a huge in ground garden, and always had plenty or squash, and I miss that. I do very well with tomatoes in the boxes, but I want my squash! Perhaps I need a special variety? Any advice would be great!
