Tomato Leaf Curl Due to Too Much Water?

Enjoying my 2nd year growing in EB. Everything seems to be growing well. One of my tomato plants has inward leaf curl. The tomatoes are growing and the plant is tall and seems healthy otherwise. I've been checking the soil with a water gauge and been diligent about keeping the reservoir full. I've observed that the soil seems quite wet (confirmed by observation and the water meter). I use appropriate soil (a mix) and planted according to instructions. I'm noticing a pepper plant seems to have too much water too. I've read other blogs where someone used the potting mix from EB and they too experienced overly moist soil. I live in zone 9B and it's dry here (no rain in sight) with lots of sun.

Anyone else have this problem? Do I ignore the leaf curl? Do I try to dry out the soil? Thanks!

The EarthBox is a system that can't be over watered. There are two possible reason for leaf curl. One, the mix holding too mush water and that's a sign of wrong mix (what brand are you using). Folks see this issue when trying to mix their own components. Commercial bagged mixed are engineered to have the proper water holding capacity. 2, summer temperatures. I'm Zone 9a on the Mississippi gulf coast and I pull my tomatoes first of July because of extreme heat problems and replant in the fall.

In Texas here too, summer's are brutal to tomatoes, etc.

Any ideas for what would do well in the brutal heat to keep EBs "busy"?

I grow determinate tomatoes in the spring and the fall. I don't mess with trying to grow in the middle of the summer

I plan to use a good friend's indoor sunroom for handling the Texas heat this summer.

Probably just Organic Serrano and Habanero peppers, and herbs, but, I'll send pictures once I am "approved."

I was on the old forums back when, and loved that community with all the great information.
