I have been having trouble with something eating parts of my cantaloupe leaves, and I finally decided it was grasshoppers. I looked for non-pesticide solutions, and found: 1) horehound, which has long been used as a grasshopper barrier. I couldn't find any, so I tried suggestion number 2) cilantro. Apparently grasshoppers hate cilantro. So I put cilantro pots around among the cantaloupe vines. This was several days ago, and I can see a significant improvement. If you have a grasshopper problem, and would prefer to keep them away rather than kill them, you might want to give cilantro a try!

Well, I have heard that "super tasters" often cant stand cilantro so maybe grasshoppers are super tasters LOL! Will give it a try!
