seeds have germinated nicely. Heirloom Siberian and various micro tomatoes ๐

Very nice, gardendoc! Have watched most, if not all, of your videos. Glad to see you're still active on the forum. I'm new to join here, but I've read lots of posts since I bought my first EarthBox late last fall. Just got it set up several weeks ago with 8 mixed lettuce plants I started by winter sowing. If the EarthBox works well for me, I will be purchasing more in the future. I hope to learn a lot here.

I know you have 136 boxes, gardendoc! Awesome! I won't ever approach that many, but after eating some of my EarthBox lettuce the other day, I promptly ordered 4 more boxes. I can see where it could easily turn into an obsession.
For decades off and on, I've tried gardening in the ground, mostly unsuccessfully. I've fought with crepe myrtle roots from the back yard neighbor, root knot nematodes in my vegetable roots and moles too many times. At age 70 now, with a bad back and a damaged nerve in my leg, it's too much trouble for the results.
Other than the initial box setup, this is so easy it makes me feel like I'm cheating. I'll take it, though!

If you mean for the propagation shelves I use LED shop lights from Walmart

@Kbore, I have no indoor light source other than a very bright south window. I started the lettuce outdoors by winter sowing, then transplanted them when they got big enough and protected them with row cover when it was necessary.

Thanks for the replies. I went with an Amazon sourced, 32 watt LED panel. My space is 12" x 24" so size was a challenge if I wanted LED panel. The height above the seedlings is producing a DLI of 13 @ 18 hours. Already sprouted and growing lettuce!
