Title: Automatic Watering and Rain Barrel

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience using a rain barrel to supply an automatic watering system? We are planning a roof deck with 12 junior boxes and 2 standard size boxes. The rain barrel will be placed so that the lowest part of the barrel is two feet above the top of the first planter. Just wondering if anyone as any experience to share that might be helpful.

Other folks have worked with rain barrels and AWS. I don't know if 2 feet of column height when the barrel is low, about 0.9 psi if I remember correctly, will operate the AWS system.
