Title: Earthbox vs in the Earth

New to this so I hope this not a dumb question. Is the earth box superior to planting in the earth?

There have been a few studies where we've done in-ground gardening vs. EarthBox gardening. Since you have more control with EarthBox, it typically grows faster and ultimately can yield more than plants grown in-ground.

Awesome, Cant wait to get started with Earthbox. Have always had problems with BER and cracked tops.

You'll do great! Let us know if we can help in anyway. Try a teaspoon of calcium nitrate down the fill tube each week for the growing season to prevent BER. We learned that trick from the one and only Garden Doc!
