I tried the determinate "Florida 91" in my garden this year and was extremely impressed with the size, yield, non splitting , and disease and heat resistance of this variety. This plant out done the Celebrity, Better Boy, and Bonnie Best. Definatly going to have a couple more of these in my garden next year..

Did you start them from seed or from plants you bought? I take it that variety is a hybrid.

I'm growing Celebrities and we really like them. I also have some Arkansas Travelers in as well.

How are your tomatoes now? Still producing? I ask because a friend of mine has the Better Boy and he said his were looking sad.

I had good luck with cherry tomatoes. I would have had wonderful luck with regular tomatoes except the critters seemed to think I was doing all this work for their food table. And they were eatingh them green.

I have several varieties. The heat tolerant Sweet 100's are just starting to set fruit. They look perfect. The earlier varieties are looking sad, but still OK.

These are doing the best in my boxes.  The fruits are a god size and they taste pretty good.  The only thing I noticed and it might have been my imagination is that the caterpillars seemed drawn to this one more than the others.  It might have been because there was more tomato plant to eat.

My Florida 91, Sweet 100's , cherry tomatos, and bell peppers are still producing. Something (disease or fungus) came through in the last few weeks and took its toll on the other plants. It started with my Betterboys and now my Celebrities and Bonnie best are pretty much dead. I got a great crop of tomatos over the past month so im not to disappointed.

Still producing (Brandywine, Arkansas Travelers, Sweet 100). Slow ripening. Neighbor built 6 ' fence blocking some morning sun. Trees along the fence in my yard can be pruned to let in more light -- added to my long to do list.

Well, I guess it's not always true that fences make good neighbors.  Wink
