While in Walmart's garden center, I discovered 40# of dolomite lime for $3.98. Two years ago when I first started with Earthboxes, the only dolomite lime I could find was 40# for $14.99 at a garden center.
This dolomite is called Green Acres and the calcium is 20% and the magnesium is 11%. I hope others can find the same deal at their local Walmarts. Always nice to find a bargain.
I keep all my receipts related to my gardening activities, but have never had the nerve to add them up. I laugh every time I think about the book "The $64 Tomato" by William Alexander. I'm sure mine cost more than that, BUT I consider it healthy eating and a more enjoyable pursuit than going to a therapist.

Lowes in Northern Virginia has a similar deal on Dolomite, that's where I get mine. Also, Walmart has started carrying Espoma Tomato Tone and Garden Tone.
I would never attempt to tally up the total that I spend on gardening. I know it's a lot but, you can't put a price on the taste of a homegrown tomato, or the enjoyment that gardening gives me.
