I am new to this forum and I hope someone can give me some guidance. I am using a brand of organic potting mix for container gardening called Fafard. I used it last year and had stellar results with my organic plants. However, this year I have what I am pretty sure is a skunk attacking the soil in my boxes and also the unopened bags of soil. The plants themselves are untouched after being dug up. Since some of these boxes were not planted yet and there was no fertilizer added I'm baffled. I have 5 more boxes to plant and I'm afraid of what might happen. BTW, I planted some Cilantro seeds in a terra cotta container and that night the whole container was dug up. I live in Connecticut. Anyone who has any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! THX!!

Get a hav-a heart trap. If it's a skunk, you'll want one that is small enough that it can't raise it's tail Grin.
I would watch for a few days to find what type of culprit you have Huh?. Both can do much more damage than digging in your plants. I don't think it has anything to do with your potting mix, I have used Fafard for a couple of years and it hasn't attracted any critters.
