Finding out what the snack is, is like going through the pledging process to join the "in" club of the forum....keep reading....one hint go to the home page and search snack "snack" or calcium nitrate!

No kidding!!  Is there a definitive forum on the snack, and if so, could it become a sticky post in the Tips & Tricks section?

Are you still having blossom drop or has it cleared up?  We've got similar fluctuations in temps, but it's been windy and most of the blossoms are pollinating.

Maybe different varieties have different sensitivities? I'm not sure what's behind Kathy's suggestion that temp fluctuations may have caused the drop.

I chose brandywine because it was recommended for this area by our extension office. Now I'm learning about seed companies who sell seeds labled brandywine but are not true to the original seed stock. Also, there are lots of different brandywine varieties.

More fruit set did come, but seems like yield is lower this spring than last. I'll know better at the end of the season. It's hard to count toms through all the leaves. At least the leaf/stem curling stopped.

Eggplant bloom drop is my worst problem now. I have 3 beautiful Florida High Bush eggplants blooming like crazy and there's only one fruit set that showed on Mother's day.

Same thing with my luffa plant except the female flowers don't open at all before they drop. But, I got one fruit set evident on Mother's day.

Looks like my late mother is showing her appreciation for the EB garden I started in memory of her.  Smiley
