Hi! I'm an EB newbie. And this is also my first year starting tomatoes from seed and I've been totally enthralled with it and doing a lot of reading and researching. One of the things I got interested in, of course, was the EBs because I want to try growing the tomatoes on my deck. So I was very happy to find this forum a few months back and the first thing I enthusiastically read through was the thread in here that says "New to Earthboxes? Start here."  Grin Great thread. Learned a lot! SO happy to have this forum to consult whilst on my new adventure!

Isn't that the thread that has the directions for making your location and zone appear in your postings?  Just askin'  ;>

Welcome to the EarthBox system of growing and the forum.  Be careful!  These things are addictive.  I have an in-ground farmer giving me a hand and she's getting excited about all the EarthBox possibilities.

just getting around to saying welcome to eb's. you bet they are addictive. look for dealers in your area, they are a great place for info on all sorts of things. started over 10 years ago when my wife was still with me and still going strong. added 2 more boxes this year. have 2 half boxes, 8 standard and 4 extra large my son kurt and I put together. yesterday picked my first cuc and banana peppers with a big smile on my face. happy gardening. old sarge.

Babice,
Welcome to the forum....
3 words...location, location, location.... Wink
If you put it in you will receive/give more accurate advice on your specific needs, since each location  has unique needs ...
You will find lots of friendly helpful gardeners here who really like to hear success stories...
Try to stick to the guidelines the first try so you get the concepts down...
It is very tempting when reading all the wild/wonderful ideas here to jump in, but get the basics down...then jump in  Bouncy
Good Luck !
