I HATE BER!  It is such a waste of an otherwise good tomato.  New boxes seem to have more problems then others since Dolomite takes months to become available.  If you can get to Walmart and purchase some Mrs Wages Pickling Lime, comes in a green bag with the canning items.  Check the EB site, I think it is under FAQ.  I think you add 1/4 cup to a gallon of water added to the tube, ONE TIME.  So sorry...... Aw man, that BER is awful. I hope it stops soon so you can enjoy some tomatoes. On the other hand, those are some fine looking peppers and cukes!

Wear gloves and a mask if you have them.  This stuff is caustic.

The one-time treatment for Blossom End Rot (BER) uses hydrated lime (aka pickling lime).

Here is the info from the Earthbox.com resource page, Common Plant Problems:http://www.earthbox.com/common-plant-problems.asp Mix ¼ cup of hydrated lime (or pickling lime) with 1 gallon of water and add to the reservoir via the water fill tube. Do this just 1 time only.

For newbies reading this, hydrated lime is different from the dolomite lime that you mix with the potting mix when you set up your EB. As Butterflygirl said, hydrated lime is caustic.
