Dansby,
Interesting that you chose the printed side up ! Wink
Is there a reason you chose that side ?
I have used the same bags but white side up with good success--they are nice and thick and worked well for me.

Grin Good use of acquired materials. I have cats and buy the 16-18 lbs bags of catfood that are durable and waterproof and serve as covers well.

Now I wished I had kept my sacks from the soul. How are you keeping them attached to the box?

Looks like greenhouse sheeting clips. http://www.territorialseed.com/product/1657/171

You can also make your own. Below:

You will need 8 clamps per EB. If you want an easier way to make your own, you can buy 4" clamps and cut them down to 1" or get a 48" piece to give you lots more clamps.

The only thing you need to do besides cut them to length is to grip with visegrip pliers and hold in boiling water for a couple of seconds & squeeze slightly to narrow the slot. Plunge into cold water for a few seconds, then release. You'll get the feel of it after doing a couple and testing on a box. I find this a lot easier than trying to cut a slot the right size in pvc pipe.

Part#: SNAP04EA-A
4" Snap Clamp, fits on 3/4 in EMT conduit or 1/2 in PVC Pipe
Color: White    $0.41

Part#: SNAP48EA-A
48" Snap Clamp, fits on 3/4 in EMT conduit or 1/2 in PVC Pipe
Color: White    $3.53

I used printed side to remind me what brand potting mix I used.

I made my own clips, and it was a pain.
