My Garden Setup as of Memorial Day 07

Ok, some of these photos are kinda dark. But I've learned a new important lesson--never go to the garden center hungry. I literally browsed my way through the herb section (my tounge is a bit burnt from the oregano I ended up buying, but the ginger mint looked too neat to pass up) My mother somehow persuaded me that since I only plant "Pretty flowers" in the front yard, that SQUASH haver pretty flowers... Its going to be one of those years I think...

The photos below are not only of my EBs but are also of my containers and of my trellis system I put in a few years ago for the curious. It was horribly simple to make, and I would be happy to run through how it was made for any inquiring minds. I'm 5'7" and I've seen tomatoes go for the roof so I wanted to give the particularly vicious tomato lateral space, and have found this to be stable, plus the dog can run under it easily (me, not SO easily, it stands about 5'4" and tapers down to about 4"5")

The neat thing is with the containers I can run 3-4 foot cages to about a foot below the wooden system and then feed them into the wood, I haven't figured out how i'm going to cage the EB's yet to get them into the wooden system. maybe ziptying or something. This year I'm also doing a habenero and a pablano.
