I'm not familiar with the middle version.

It originated here on the forum, no one takes credit for it, several tried it and all found that this opens new possibilities and Kathy likes it and it works.

I got the idea speaking with BW

I like the middle version of fertilizer placement for tomatoes gives four corners to grow in--2 spring/summer season, 2 summer/fall season.

So you start with 2 and when they are on their way out, you put in two more to use for the next season?

I prune the first crop off at the substrate surface and replant in the two unused corners

jvphish:
Your first set of pictures show that your EB filler tubes are installed perfectly vertical.  They should be slid into the divider hole while touching both sides of the box corner in order to fit into the bottom tube 'socket'.  A close look at this socket in an empty box will show you why.  I'm not sure what problems will develop later in the season from this tube mounting.

2012!  YAY!

All set up.

Automated watering system = set up and buried

trellis = JUST set up (after pics were taken this morning)

5 types of peppers (cherry, jalepeno, habenero, red bell, yellow bell), 4 types of maters (black cherry, roma juliet [2x], sungold [2x], roma), herb box (basil, thai basil, purple basil, oregano, curly parsley, cilantro, thyme)

only one salad box left.  arugula and butter crunch lettuce will be gone by next week and replaced with something fun...cucs?  eggplant?  what should we do?

no deer are getting by me!

Can't tell from the pics...for those EBs close to the wall, be sure you will have enough room after the plants grow to get to the fill tube.  Even with the AWS, you may want to put snack down the tube, or have to work on the AWS itself (infrequent), or occasionally check that it is still flowing.
