We've mentioned The Growing Connection several times now on the forum and I thought it might deserve a little intro of it's own. The Growing Connection is a program created by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN. We are very proud and honored to have been asked to participate in this wonderful program.
The idea is to place gardens in schools around the world and connect the kids through a secure internet site. They asked EarthBox to participate because EarthBoxes are very water efficient, easy to use and they provide a common growing platform which creates equality for discussion and comparison purposes. The hope is to introduce the next generation to farming and healthy food choices while at the same time nuturing friendships and understanding about life in different areas around the world.
