Do the casters on the EBs have brakes that I don't see? My EB doesn't roll, it drags. The plastic wheels won't last a season that way. Jim

Yes...if the EB is dragging that means the brakes are ON. Look for small levers on two of the wheels and lift them up.

Thanks! I must have examined the two casters that have no brakes After two, I gave up. Jim

I put those two on the front so they're easy to see and disengage. They seem to lock whenever they want, not always when I want them to.
I bet they are handy if you have a hard surface and a slight slope.

They like to lock themselves when you roll your EB's. I took mine off.

You took off the brakes or the wheels? I need to roll my one box 10 feet east each day about 4 p.m. to catch more rays. Then roll it back in the morning. Jim

You could always go to the website order site under replacement parts and order a 2-caster set... with half off shipping! That set does not have 'brakes'!

Just to clarify, EarthBox casters come with 2 with brakes, 2 without. I put my brake ones on opposite corners to prevent rolling long ways and short ways. It is easy to see the brake handles and make sure they are up if you want the brakes off. I don't suggest using 4 without brakes if you are in a windy area, with lots of growth the plants tend to act as a sail.
