This snap and grow greenhouse was a weekend project for me.
Today, I am going to plant my "hard-neck" garlic in EarthBoxes here in Northeast PA. This greenhouse will comfortably hold 10 Earthboxes almost touching eachother. Plants require space so it will hold 2-8 Earthboxes depending how broad the plants are.

Here's a chinese cabbage 'michihli' I also grew from seed in the Earthbox garden in 09.
This "monster-leafed" tender cabbage really took off in the EarthBox system!
Notice our white veneer trellis to the right; a handsome addition to any patio or deck!

That was the first time I grew this chinese cabbage.
Definitely going to add this variety to my list again for this year!

Here at EarthBox we are always growing something!
Here is a picture of garlic I am growing in EarthBoxes in our new greenhouse. Here in NorthEast Pennsylvania we plant our garlic around November 1st. The box on the left has 18 in one EarthBox!
Notice the snow? Being able to successfully grow this flavorful hard-neck variety here makes shoveling the snow worth it!

We don't have snow in the greenhouse.....LOL! Actually Scranton has little to no snow on the ground....just snow piles. Where I live in the mountains we have about 18 to 20 on the ground but it's going quickly....temp was 57 (unseasonably warm) yesterday!

And from the snowy mountains, I am happy to say we have no more snow! I don't need an onion snow, or an Easter snow... bring on the spring. I planted a few EarthBoxes over the weekend...radishes, spinach, lettuce and onions! It's probably too early but it did me good!
