It is on the EB store site.  Look under holiday specials, on the left side towards the bottom.  Deb

Thanks for the clue. I'll be putting them on order closer to Christmas. But, what is a "red cover?"

There is research that the color red reflects a more favorable light for plants.

Hopefully someone from EarthBox will tell us how many are sold per year.  Both nationally and world wide.

I'll be going into 2010 with 18, and I know 3 people who have recieved them as gifts, accounting for another 7.

I've always bought in lots of 5 because there is a little savings that way.  And once I bought some on the 'bad caster hole' sale.

And, yes, they are made out of recycled plastic.  I've forgotten the %, but I remember being impressed with how high it was.

Deb

Just want to clarify something EarthBoxes are not currently made from recyclable plastics, they can be but are not currently. They are recyclable.

Bummer!

I had gotten my info from Clint at the Research Center last January.

Maybe if more people would recycle their plastics and we somehow figured an economical method to transport the recycled plastic to the mfg plants, it would be easier to reuse.  <sigh>

So Kathy, how about a ball park figure for the # sold each (or last) year?  And maybe a number of how many were ever made?

That sounds like a question for investor relations with the company directly.
 IMHO

The 2010 season is approaching.  Taxes are filed and the refund is on it's way through cyber space.  I plan to order two maybe three more boxes which will bring my total count to four or five.  I have my year all planned out with what veggies and when it will be planted.  I plan to keep all the boxes going with something from March until Oct/Nov (unless you count the garlic that will be planted in the fall and harvested next spring).  I currently have garlic in one box that I planted last Nov and will harvest around May.  Several things I'm planting are things that I have no experience with so I hope I can count on all my friends here on the forum for help if I need it.

Thanks in advance for all the help I am sure I will recieve,

Pat
