Logging on to the forum

There are still quite a few unverified members, so I figure it's worthwhile posting this.

When you sign up for an ID, you must use a valid, working e-mail address.  The forum software will e-mail you a confirmation e-mail with an activation link.  This stops people from signing up random e-mail addresses.  Once the activation link is used in a browser, you should be able to log on.  If you don't find an activation link in your mailbox shortly after registering, then one of four things has happened:

1.  You didn't check the "I'm old enough" box at the top of the sign-up form.
2.  You didn't use a valid address, or misspelled your address.
3.  Your e-mail provider treated the message as junk mail and quarantined or discarded it.
4.  We're experiencing technical difficulties.

4 hasn't happened yet, 3 is fairly rare, and 1 and 2 happen quite often.  If you haven't gotten a confirmation yet, please let me know and I'll get it worked out.
