Lesson #1 if your birdfeeders are too close to the earthbox...

Seafeye- So glad you can see the humor in this!

Are you going to move your EB's away from your 'birdfeeder'?

Well at first i planted some eggplant seeds. All three seeds that i planted sprouted but because eggplants take up so much space i decided to only have one. Turns out that it was a sunflower plant that i left in the box.
Behind our house we have a lot of wildlife. Raccoons come nightly along with deer and lots of birds/snakes/mice...Somehow a seed made it from the feeder to the earthbox. If you don't have a green thumb try growing sunflowers.

The most difficult plant i have found to grow is Catnip. There are too many cats in the neighbourhood!

I can't get catnip to survive my 2 cats either. I have taken to growing catmint. It has a nice blue flower and the cats like it, but not enough to destroy it. Its a perennial here in southern WA. The whole family is happy! Except the dog, but thats another tale.

I think catmint looks great in groups...  I have it in my front yard!
