Can you grow watermelon and cantaloupe together in the same earthbox? I would like to do two each. Since both grow
a lot of vines how would this work?

Thanks

I would say yes, you could, especially if you were growing the "sugar-baby" type of watermelons.  I grow 4 or 5 cantaloupes in a box, but have to tend to them, for proper training up my trellis and I "sling/hammock"  the melons. Here at EarthBox we grow sugar baby type melons, every year, and again we "sling/hammock" them.

Would the Earthbox staking system work as a trellis for melons? And can you describe the "sling/hammock" you mentioned? Thanks!
